My boss is relatively new on the job. She
came on our nursing unit saying that no one gets a "set"
schedule. She hired a new nurse and confidentially promised her a
"set" schedule with all the major holidays off this year.
She told those of us who have been employed at the hospital for
years that it was not our concern how she worked the schedule. The
new nurse quit before the holidays because she said, "If she'd
do that to you all who have been with the hospital a long time, what
have I got to look forward to?"
